Built inside a real wholesale distributor

Turning manual operations into automated growth.

Aucava is the AI execution layer for wholesale distribution. Built inside a working distributor, it eliminates the manual work between your ERP, CRM and logistics — so your team stops chasing spreadsheets and starts winning margin.

The problem

Wholesale distributors leak 3–8% of revenue every year to manual work.

Orders retyped from email. Stock counts done on Friday. Dunning calls that never happen. Your ERP is a filing cabinet, not an operator — and your team is the glue holding it together.

of revenue
0.8–1.5%

Order-entry errors

Wrong SKUs, wrong pricing, wrong customer. Returns, credit notes, lost trust.

of revenue
1.2–2.0%

Dead stock

Cash tied up in the wrong inventory because forecasts are guessed, not modelled.

of revenue
0.6–1.2%

Late payments

Nobody owns the dunning conversation. DSO creeps. Cashflow suffers.

of revenue
0.8–1.5%

Manual data entry

Ops staff copy-pasting between ERP, CRM and Excel eight hours a day.

of revenue
0.8–2.0%

Missed sales

Customers who dropped off, reorders nobody remembered, upsells nobody spotted.

Why haven't your existing tools fixed this? iPaaS platforms have no domain knowledge. Legacy ERP is rigid and expensive. Generic AI can reason, but can't execute end-to-end inside your operational systems. Aucava was built to close that gap.

The platform

Eight AI services, delivered through the tool your team already uses.

Aucava sits between your ERP, CRM and logistics — reading, deciding, executing. The console is a Slack app your ops team already lives in. No new dashboard to learn, no extra login, no change-management project.

01

Order Processing

Parse orders from email, WhatsApp or PDF. Match SKUs, validate pricing, push into your ERP — in seconds, not hours.

02

Inventory Management

Demand forecasting on your real SKU history. Reorder points that move with seasonality, promos and lead times.

03

Customer Engagement

WhatsApp and email agents that take reorders, answer trade queries and surface reps when the conversation matters.

04

AR Management

Automated dunning that sounds human. DSO reduction measured in days, not quarters. Every invoice, every week.

05

Subscription Management

Standing orders, case clubs, allocation releases. Renewals, skips, swaps — all handled before anyone has to ask.

06

Supplier Management

PO generation, confirmations, ETA tracking. Your supplier inbox, resolved — with exceptions routed to the right human.

07

Supply Chain

3PL, freight and last-mile stitched together. Proactive alerts when something slips, not apologies after it did.

08

Dynamic Pricing

Margin-aware pricing across channels, customers and SKUs. Rules your commercial team sets, executed automatically.

Human-in-the-loop

Approvals, overrides and audit trail — all in Slack. No new dashboard. Your ops team sees every AI action in the tool they already use. Low-risk tasks ship autonomously; anything touching price, credit or customer trust asks for a named human to approve in-channel.

Proof, not promises

Aucava is dogfooded.

We built Aucava inside Sip Champagnes — the wine & spirits distributor we own and operate — and rolled it out on ourselves before we ever shipped it to anyone else. Sip Champagnes is the proving ground; Aucava is the productised version. The numbers below come from our own audited management accounts, comparing the nine months after we switched on the AI services against the nine months before.

Gross profit
+57.95%

On a slightly smaller top line — margin doing the work, not volume.

Gross margin
+15pp

From low twenties into the mid-thirties on comparable periods.

Cost of sales
−25.1%

Cleaner purchasing, fewer order-entry errors, tighter supplier terms.

Operating loss
−95.81%

From a sizeable H1 loss to near-breakeven — run-rate profitable through Q1 2026.

Admin expenses
−24.0%

Same team, more throughput. AI took the manual work, not the people.

Loss before tax
−92.13%

The whole P&L moved — not a one-off, not a single line item.

Q1 2026 trailing

Trajectory held through the first quarter of 2026.

  • Gross margin sustained above 35%, nine months after switch-on.
  • Operating run-rate at breakeven; on track to post-tax profit in FY26.
  • Order-processing automation running at >95% straight-through on priced lines.
“We didn't fire anyone. We just stopped asking them to do work a machine could do. They started closing deals and managing customers instead of fighting spreadsheets — and the P&L moved in a way I'd stopped believing was possible.”

What Aucava means

Augmented capacity. Automated value.

Aucava helps businesses increase operational capacity without increasing operational complexity.

Name fragment
Auc

Augment. Automation. The augmentation of capacity — AI that actually does the work, not just observes it.

Name fragment
ava

Softness, movement, always-on availability. An operator that shows up every hour of every day.

Origin

Built in a distributor, not a lab.

Aucava started life inside Sip Champagnes — a working UK wine & spirits wholesaler we own and run. Not a research project. Not a pitch deck. A real business with real customers, real suppliers and real P&L pressure.

We kept running into the same wall: manual admin, missed orders, slow customer responses, stock blind spots, and revenue that was capped by headcount rather than demand. We built Aucava to solve those problems for ourselves, on ourselves — one service at a time, with the P&L as the scoreboard.

Sip Champagnes became the proving ground. Aucava is the productised version — the same system, now built for every distributor who recognises the pattern.

Why Aucava

Built for distributors. Not brands, not generic AI, not legacy ERP.

There are other tools that touch parts of this problem. None of them were built inside a wholesale distribution business, for a wholesale distribution business.

How it works

From handshake to in-production in under a month.

No six-month implementations. No consulting-led scope creep. We earn the pilot, then we earn the expansion.

Step 011

Connect

We plug Aucava into your existing ERP, CRM, email and messaging stack. Bevica, Xero, Microsoft 365, Gmail, WhatsApp Business — no rip-and-replace, ever.

Step 022

Calibrate

Aucava learns your SKUs, your customers, your margin rules, your tone of voice. Two weeks with your ops lead, not six months with a systems integrator.

Step 033

Execute, with a human in the loop

AI handles the work. Your team sees every action, with approve/override controls on anything that touches price, credit or customer trust.

Step 044

Compound

Each service you switch on makes the next one sharper. By month three, the platform pays for itself several times over — measurably.

Pricing

Priced against what we save you, not what we cost to run.

A typical Aucava customer claws back several percent of revenue in the first year — from cleaner margins, faster collections and fewer errors. We price at roughly a tenth of that recovered value, so the ROI conversation is short.

The team

Product builders and operators, not a lab experiment.

Aucava is built by people who have shipped software at scale and run a distribution business day-to-day. The expertise is the moat: AI engineering, commercial growth, and hands-on operations — under one roof.

AI & product engineering

Nearly two decades shipping B2B SaaS and consumer product. Event-driven architectures on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock). Agentic systems with real guardrails, not demos.

Commercial & go-to-market

Director-level experience at Google and Trustpilot. Multi-market SaaS launches, pricing, partnerships, and scaling revenue teams from first deal to nine-figure ARR.

Wholesale distribution ops

Operator-owners of a UK wine & spirits distributor since 2016. Lived experience of the exact pain Aucava solves — inside a P&L, not a pitch deck.

Enterprise-grade security

AWS UK/EU data residency, role-based access, immutable audit logs, DPA-ready. No customer data is used to train foundation models, ever.

Questions

Everything a sceptical ops director usually asks.

If something isn't answered here, email us directly — a founder will reply.

No. Aucava is designed to sit on top of what you already have. We have native integrations with Bevica and Xero, and we can plug into most mainstream ERPs and CRMs via their APIs. If your ops team already lives in a tool, we meet them there — we don't drag them somewhere new.

Two to four weeks for the first service to be in production. That includes integration, data calibration, and switch-on with your team. We do not do six-month implementations — if an integration takes that long, something is wrong with the scope.

Every Aucava agent runs with configurable guardrails. For low-risk actions — logging an order, sending a confirmation, chasing an overdue invoice — the AI executes directly and your team reviews after. For anything that touches price, credit or customer trust, the AI proposes and a named human approves with a single click in Slack. You set the thresholds, and every action is logged to an immutable audit trail.

No. Aucava is delivered as a Slack app — your ops, finance and commercial teams see proposed actions, approve or override them, and get their audit trail in the channels they already work in. Microsoft Teams is available on the Scale plan. We deliberately avoided building a bespoke console for every customer: adoption suffers when we ask people to learn a new tool.

Corvera is built for CPG brands — the manufacturers who ship product into distributors. Aucava is built for the distributors themselves, which is a very different operational problem. Generic agentic platforms don't integrate natively with wholesale-specific ERPs like Bevica, and they don't come with the domain logic for SKU matching, trade pricing, or allocations out of the box.

Aucava runs on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, Bedrock) in UK/EU regions. Your data stays in your tenancy. We never train foundation models on customer data. We're happy to sign your DPA and walk your security team through the architecture.

We switch on one service — usually Order Processing or AR — against a ring-fenced slice of your business. If, after 30 days, the measurable outcome isn't what we agreed, you walk away with no bill. We've not had anyone walk away yet.

Yes, under NDA. The percentages on the public site come from our audited management accounts. Prospective customers and investors can have the full P&L on request.
